Description

WHY Summer Camp:

To get away from many of the distractions of normal life in order to pursue the amazing adventure of following Jesus Christ!

WHO:

Coordinated by Family & Children’s Ministry leaders of Grace Chapel Church & Campus Church

Campers must be completing 2nd-7th grades at the end of the 2017-2018 school year.

High school students - including those entering 9th grade the following fall - college students, and adults are needed as volunteers. Contact Rocky Wyatt to learn how you can serve: rocky@gracechapelchurch.com

WHAT:

We will play in the sun, swim in the pool, eat good food, and make great friends. From interactive large group experiences, to small group conversations that encourage personal application and growth, this week is designed with the hearts of our kids in mind. Every activity connects to the daily lesson in an effort to give our kids multiple opportunities to soak up the message of Christ.

WHEN:

Check-in begins on Sunday, June 24, at 3:00 PM.

The week ends with a Family Experience on Thursday night, June 28, when parents are invited to help us celebrate what we’ve learned before going home. You will receive more details about the "FX" in an email after you register.

Check-out begins on Thursday, June 28, at 5:30 PM. Go directly to the cabins to see the campers and check-out with their counselors. The closing program will be one hour, beginning at 6:30 PM. Campers will eat dinner before families arrive, so families are welcome to bring food or eat before arriving. Desserts & coffee will be available for families, and campers will enjoy snacks from the canteen during the program. Counselors will also be available in the cabins for check-out after the program.

WHERE:

The beautiful Camp Wetoga is in the mountains of north Georgia, near Blue Ridge.

HOW (MUCH):

  • Early Registration (through 12/31/17) = $175/camper

  • Regular Registration (through 1/1/18-4/1/18) = $200/camper

  • Late Registration (4/2/18-5/31/18) = $225/camper

The cost includes lodging, meals, a Summer Camp T-shirt, and snacks at the canteen. No additional money will be needed at camp.

Families provide transportation to & from camp, clothes, toiletries, bedding and a Bible.

Those who have been a part of Summer Camp in the past will likely recognize that the registration rate has increased. In order to continue to provide an amazing, memorable, safe, healthy experience for campers and volunteers, it has become necessary to increase the rate each camper pays. While we believe these rates are still a great deal for what is provided at Summer Camp, we do not want money to be the reason to keep anyone from being a part of it. Through the generosity of members of Grace Chapel Church and Campus Church, some money is provided for scholarships upon request. Please contact one of the ministry leaders from your local congregation to learn more about these scholarship opportunities.

There is a discount for children of volunteers. Contact Rocky Wyatt to learn more about how you can become part of the Summer Camp team: rocky@gracechapelchurch.com.
